🔮 CS2’S 2020 B2B Tech Marketing Predictions (Part 1) 🔮
Since we’re now in the futuristic-sounding year of 2020, we wanted to make some predictions of what we expect to happen in the world of B2B marketing.  In working with B2B tech companies of varying sizes, we have seen certain trends in how marketing is evolving. Here’s part 1, discussing the first half of 8 predictions we think will happen in the new year.
Our predictions:
- MQLs as a measurement of success will finally die. Marketers will officially replace the unreliable metric of MQLs with revenue when making decisions about how to invest their dollars and when demonstrating success in the boardroom.
- Revenue Ops will continue to gather steam, but most companies will still have MOps and SOps as separate teams. The skill sets, daily execution work, and goals are still too different to combine the teams in one org.
- Demand marketers will ditch the addiction of paying for leads and start investing more activities that build a brand that naturally creates and keeps fans and positions them as leaders.
- Companies will continue to pull down the gates and make their content more accessible, but they will also use clever ways to capture interest like using a Chat Bot to connect with their audience.
