Gift Ideas for the Marketing Operations Pro

Are you looking to get the marketing ops pro in your life a little something that says, “Hey, you’re great.”? Well, being in marketing ops ourselves, we have some insight into some gifts that they’ll actually use. Here are some ideas:

1) A Puzzle

When your 9-5 revolves around a computer screen, it’s nice to do something analog at the end of the day. Marketing ops involves putting together digital puzzle pieces all the time, so solving real puzzles is probably something that will come naturally to your marketing ops friend or co-worker. This looks like a fun one.

2) Tech Organizer

There are some necessary tech items a marketer needs on hand in order to get sh*t done (laptop charger, phone charger, USB converter, etc. - thanks, Apple). Having a nice little case to organize all those cords and such might spark some joy for the Type A personality within them.

3) Vibrating Foam Roller

Newsflash: marketing ops can be stressful. There can be people from different departments coming to you with issues or last minute requests. At the end of the day, you might feel some tension in your muscles. I would for sure use this to roll out my back.

4) Healthy Snacks

First of all, who doesn’t like snacks? But for the marketing ops pro especially, some projects require sitting in front of the computer for hours, and sometimes you just need a little pick me up to help you keep pushing through. Peanut butter snacks like this could come in handy.

5) Mini crock pot

While it’s probably smart to take a lunch break to get fresh air, days with back to back meetings will leave you eating lunch at your desk. This mini crock pot would be perfect for keeping a meal warm until lunch time!

6) Monthly Coffee Subscription

Coffee is the fuel that keeps (most of us) going. A subscription box like this one is a great way to try coffees from all over. Plus, getting stuff in the mail is really fun.

7) Headspace Subscription

The meditation app, Headspace, brings a whole new meaning to meditation. It’s one of those things you don’t think to get for yourself, but would be happy to receive. In our line of work, we could all use a little head space. Gift a month-long or year-long subscription here.

8) This is Marketing by Seth Godin

Seth Godin has a way of taking complex topics and putting them in simple terms, until you are *mindblown.* His book This is Marketing is a must-read for anyone in the business of marketing.

9) Laptop Stand

Looking down at your laptop all day can be a major pain in the neck. Make sure your marketing ops friend/coworker stays ergonomic by using a laptop stand. This one by Fully is portable and adjustable.

10) Yeti Mug

Buying for someone picky? Anyone who drinks warm to hot beverages will love this mug. It keeps my coffee so hot, I have to take the lid off to let it cool. If you want to be really fancy, slap a logo sticker on like we did. You can get them made here.
